Travel News Weekly by Turnpikes.com for March 2, 2026

Video date: March 02, 2026

In this video: Indiana has taken a bold step to lure the Chicago Bears to a new stadium complex that could be built near the Indiana Toll Road; cashless tolling is now in effect in Richmond, Virginia, and nearby Chesapeake changes toll discount and administrative fees, while hiking some tolls. Oh! And it's that time of year when we change clocks! Danny Pryor reports for Turnpikes.com.

Full description: The Chicago Bears could find themselves playing across the state line in Indiana, adjacent to the Indiana Toll Road, if a proposed project in Hammond goes forward. Richmond, Virginia has officially converted to all-electronic tolling, although cash will still be taken during the day on the Downtown Expressway. Meanwhile, in the nearby city of Chesapeake, a narrow vote will lead to new toll fees for toll-by-plate users, and those using the city's E-ZPass discount program. A milestone for a construction project in Pennsylvania, where the toll gantry is expected to be erected this week for a new segment of PA 43; plus, we lose an hour of sleep this weekend, the toll for switching to Daylight Saving Time!
