Full description: Gas prices continue to increase as the military operations in Iran continue; however, the price increases are slowing dramatically, at the moment. Prices are going up on the Pocahontas Parkway this week, as an annual toll increase comes. A new and unexpected proposal to replace the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge is being floated by an offshoot company of United Bridge Partners; meanwhile, commercial and fleet operators got their first indoctrination to the new commercial options for the Gordie Howe International Bridge. What we do not know is the exact date of the opening, but it will apparently happen before summer, according to the bridge operators. Meanwhile, Distracted Driving Awareness Month is on hand, and officials are planning nationwide, coordinated enforcement to get drivers to put down their cell phones while behind the wheel.
