Travel News Weekly by Turnpikes.com for January 26, 2026

Video date: January 26, 2026

In this video: It's a crucial week for New York as a federal judge is set to hear arguments on the continuation of the MTA's congestion tolling zone; meanwhile, it is a crucial two weeks for the I-69 Ohio River Project, which will include a toll bridge, as key components for the structure arrive on site. Plus, a changing in tolling could come to New Hampshire, and public hearings for a new Bay Bridge in Maryland. Danny Pryor reports for Turnpikes.com.

Full description: A Manhattan federal judge is set to hear oral arguments Wednesday about whether the Trump administration can block or alter the MTA's congestion tolling, which has been live in Manhattan for over a year. Key components for a new toll bridge over the Ohio River will arrive at the Evansville, Indiana construction site on the north side of the river over the next two weeks. The price of tolls, and the pace of toll changes, could be about to change, themselves, in New Hampshire, if a state senator has his way; and public hearings are ready to get underway in Maryland for discussion of a chosen alternative plan for a Bay Bridge replacement. That, plus our toll closures report, on this week's Travel News Weekly.
