Full description: The first major cold blast to hit the U.S. is brought on by a jet stream dip brining Canadian air as far south as Florida. That will mean continued snowy and icy travel in the north and midwest, along with windy conditions that will make driving dangerous at times. Meanwhile, two people are hanging on for their lives at a hospital in Utica following a fatal wrong-way crash on the New York State Thruway, which left the road closed into rush hour Friday. The new traffic pattern at the Gordie Howe Bridge is unveiled. Finally, it is the week of the Veterans Day holiday, and we extend our thanks and best wishes to our veterans.
