Full description: The New York State Thruway never acquired proper federal approval for a portion of the road going through Seneca land, says a federal magistrate. Governor Landry of Louisiana has suspended tolls on the controversial Belle Chasse Bridge, where toll and fee irregularities allegedly prevail; and a controversy surrounding Applegreen and a Massachusetts service plaza contract continue to grow into what is now dubbed 'Plaza Gate' by some area media. FDOT issues another ramp closure alert for Florida's Turnpike at the West Palm Beach service plaza. The 70th and 85th Anniversaries of the Ohio Turnpike and Pennsylvania Turnpike, respectively, happened October 1, and we take a look 'back in the day'.
