Full description: Five are dead in New York and another in Oklahoma after a pair of spectacular crashes in which authorities believe distracted driving may be, at least partly, to blame. Labor Day happens on the first Monday of September, which means the holiday weekend starts, this year, at the end of August, as the first is Monday! And residents of Fairchilds, Texas, say they are not giving up their fight to route a planned toll road extension around their properties, this as a key vote shoots down their plan and residents accuse leaders of conflicts of interest.
